About me
I know grief , loss and pain intimately. I lost friends very young, then the love of my life, and then my best friend who had been keeping me afloat. Before I ever had any death loses I had lost my innocence and sense of safety in the world to a very violent attack. After isolating and pushing though year after year- I lost myself- my identity, my career, and ultimately my mental health and any semblance of life itself. It felt like being buried alive, struggling and chocking in the dark and watching the world go on around me.
I experienced a level of suffering that kept me trapped in complete darkness and unable to live life freely for decades. I have spent years of my life alone and confined to a single room. It wasn't until I stopped fighting it or trying to fix it , and was given a safe space to explore it with a human being that cared that I discovered a way back to myself, and to life. All those years lost are not in vain, because I'm now able to experience true compassion for others who are suffering, feeling alone and in grief. I have never experienced your exact loss, just like I felt no one had experienced mine- but I am able to walk beside you in it. And we can find your way , together.
